In 2015, Monica Neri, a food science graduate, founded the company ITineri srl, thus creating LEGÙ®.
Legù was born out of her personal need due to gestational diabetes. He chose legumes because they have low carbohydrates and low sugar, are part of the Italian tradition and are a forgotten peasant food. Her grandmother Ida, originally from Mantua, ate legumes every day and always told her that they were the meat of the poor. Thanks to his university studies, he is now able to bring them back to the table and recreate with legumes everything that was done with cereals’.
ITineri is research, innovation and constant experimentation, inspired by one great principle: food can and must be improved, it must be healthier, tastier and easier to prepare. In a creative way, but absolutely 100% natural and must respect the environment. ITineri wants to share its philosophy through on-site visits, workshops, cooking & food experiences in collaboration with schools, chefs, nutritionists and experts.
