Style: Ordinary Bitter
Only English malts and hops for this beer that gives a nod to tradition. With a beautiful amber color, it offers notes of bread, biscuit, and light toasted aromas to the nose. In the mouth, the body is light, and the malt provides a pleasant biscuit flavor. The finish is dry and slightly bitter. Low alcohol content for long and enjoyable sips. The Bitter is a type of beer that originated in the 19th century in England. Literally meaning “bitter,” its actual distinguishing feature often lies in the sweet malt aromas, amplified by the characteristic English yeast, accompanied by a relatively pronounced hop bitterness. Originally, this beer was served on tap very fresh, using gravity or hand-pump dispensing systems at cellar temperature. The low alcohol content and low carbonation make this style of beer very “refreshing.” It pairs well with light meats, cured meats, or even smoked fish carpaccio. Among cheeses, it goes well with aged pecorino, and for dessert, it pairs nicely with nut-based cakes or other dried fruit and honey cakes.
