ITALIAN CRAFT AMARO
Amaro Rubino Bio, a new artisanal herbal liqueur, is among the very first on the market to be certified organic.
It is produced in small batches, with ingredients from organic and biodynamic agriculture: local honey and berries, flowers, and roots of botanicals that typically grow or are cultivated in the land between the lakes and the Prealps of Lombardy and Piedmont.
With its 25% alcohol content, Amaro Rubino stands out from traditional flavors for its delicate, amiable, and structured taste. First come the hints of chamomile and elderflower, along with the incomparable goodness of prealpine honey. The floral notes then give way to the herbal and balsamic sensations mainly brought by mountain hyssop and more common aromatic herbs such as thyme, bay leaf, and sage. The spicy notes of meadow cumin appear just before the bitter sensation provided by the roots of gentian and dandelion. A light echo of licorice arrives at the end, not overwhelming the flavors but leaving a sense of freshness on the palate.
Thanks to its versatility, it is also suitable for mixology, offering a variation on traditional drinks such as the sour, the spritz, or even the margarita, or allowing room for the bartender’s creativity.
